Meet the Locals

Mr. Grizzly Bear. It was a rather warm day by local standards. And this snow bank
looked like just the place for a refrigerated nap.

While Mr. G. Bear naps, high up a mountain side white Dall Sheep peacefully graze. These sheep
and the wish to preserve them were the actual reason for this becoming a park. A concerned
hunter who saw their numbers dropping rapidly, lobbied Congress until the area was set aside as
an area for protection of the sheep.

Chasing a couple caribou (we'll get to them in a minute), this wolf gave up and now has something
else in mind.
