The Road Home
In four days and five nights you just can't do everything. As we were getting
back to the lodge, these folks were heading down thirteen miles of the Nenana
River. The eleven miles beyond that gets to a class 4 experience as it goes
through deep canyons at a fast clip.
As we drove back to Anchorage to get to the airport by the midnight hour,
just like Cinderellas,
we had much better weather than the drizzle on the way up.
Amazingly, the sky kept getting clearer and clearer. As we got closer to
Denali it became one of
those very rare days when you could see the entire mountain. Here are some looks.
