EarthWalk 2006 – Day Minus 13
We’ve made it to the ‘undisclosed location’ and about 30 early recruits to the EarthWalk have joined us.
This is an incredible facility. We’ll use it as a training camp to prepare for the intense project ahead of us.
As I was telling one of the project coordinators, these past nine months I’ve been in some sort of secret institute with about 15 others. We were all held there against our will, under observation and occasionally interviewed and tested in many ways.
Two
days ago, all but two of us escaped. One of us, a fellow we call Cyclops, once
designed secret facilities for the
Once inside we pressed an Activate button and all the
systems instantly turned on. When we want food, we use a terminal to enter in
what we want and how much, and within 30 minutes it arrives hot through a small
tunnel with a conveyor belt.
It looks like we can handle about 200 EarthWalkers here. The exercise rooms are amazing. There is also a huge library of training materials on fitness and weigh loss. We’ll open up the library as soon as we get everyone settled and get a system organized for getting new people taken care of.
After you get settled in, use the computer in your room to go to http://www.thorlo.com Near the top of the screen is a place to register. I understand that after you register you will be sent a pair of about the best walking socks on the planet. Worth about $15. Free to you for signing up with the EarthWalk. Pretty cool, huh. We’ll need all the help we can get.
Remember to invite everyone you know. There is a link on the website to make it easy.
Cyclops and some of the others from the institute have been meeting seriously. They’ve announced that we’ll be having a full tribal counsel soon after a few more EarthWalkers arrive. It seems there is a purpose to this year’s walk that goes beyond our motivations of virtual adventure, fitness, weight loss and nature appreciation. What could it be?
