REPORT FROM THE WALK:

MORE CHANGES ON THE EARTHWALK OCEAN BARGE

From Marge P.:

Finally out of the rainforests. You know they didn’t tell you the whole story about that place. I was dripping in sweat for the last week. I was bug bait like I can’t tell you. We saw snakes that swallowed dogs. As soon as we got to Natal, we went directly to the beautiful beaches and had a most refreshing swim.

Captain Nemo Menomenem had the EarthWalk Ocean Barge moored at the pier just like he told us he would. His crew had done some pretty cool renovations while waiting for us. For one thing they added about two dozen paddleboat type stations down near the waterline on each side of the ship. It’ll give us more power and the bikers had been complaining that they needed something like this anyway.

The other big change was on the center of the deck. Dr. Greger, the ship M.D. and head chef, had ordered a large greenhouse built right there. It was beautiful and stocked with ready to harvest plants!

Our first meal on ship was a huge organic salad from the greenhouse!

Every day we each spend some time now working in the greenhouse and it’s really wonderful to work with green living plants out here in the middle of the Atlantic.

There has been one disturbing problem on ship. Several people have had a knock on their cabin doors and when they ask who is it they’ll get answers like “Girl Scouts – want some cookies?” or “Telegram from home” or “We’re the Publishers Clearing House awards team”. Then they open the door only to find …

A dangerous Land Shark!

So far everyone has escaped without serious injury, but the Captain has selected a team of investigators to get to the bottom of this.

FROM BUBBA JOE ROY:

I talked with the narrator last night and asked him where he had been. We hadn’t seen much of him lately. He said he’s been fascinated with these archeological finds we’ve made and been hanging out with the other archeologists on the walk. He’s learned that the luminous golden ball and the translucent small pyramid were once used together to produce a very strong and specifically tuned electromagnetic field. Although both of these items were found near Machu Picchu, they are starting to believe that these items were brought there from Egypt over 3,000 years ago. They are getting clues as they learn to work with the translucent pyramid. They are finding if they concentrate on it just right, they see flashes of images in the pyramid that help unravel the mystery.

What they are now thinking is that there is still one part of the device missing. Some sort of flexible shield that would have been placed under the translucent pyramid when the golden orb was placed inside the pyramid.

Ms. Fleming has been working with the pyramid the most and she believes that the pyramid was taken from Egypt during the reign of King Tutankhamen. A group of astrologers and nobles at the time, believed there needed to be a shift in power to a place far away from Egypt and they arranged to have the orb and translucent pyramid stolen and brought to the land that would later be called America. One part of the device did not make it. The courier with the flexible shield was caught, as was the whole group and they were killed and buried in a tomb. Ms. Fleming believes this tomb has not yet been discovered but is close to the tomb of the King himself. Ms. Fleming has conveyed all this to some of her friends in Memphis and they left immediately for Egypt to try to find this tomb where she has described it.

FROM EARTHWALK COSMIC HEADQUARTERS IN OMAHAHA

After some head spinning calculations, all the votes have been tallied and we know where we are headed in Africa. We’ll for sure make it to the top three spots and maybe more:

Free Lunch Points for growing the EarthWalk horde while in South America will be awarded soon. More calculations are spinning. Here are the points awarded to each Tribe and to non-tribals:

The Orangutans have come up with a new contest for points. They are calling it the Out Of Africa contest. Part of what they have come up with is from their hiring (at great expense again!) of a top Los Vegas odds maker, Jimbo the Greek-Armenian. He calls it the great equalizer. Here it is:

OUT OF AFRICA

FREE LUNCH FOR TWO

POINTS AWARDED WHEN LEAVING AFRICA

Raising ones ranking in the EarthWalk Foot Miles Standing. (Foot miles are the combined walking, running and jogging miles.)

1 point for every rise in the ranking – (no points lost for dropping in the rankings)

Recruiting someone to join EarthWalk. If you are in a tribe, recruit someone to join your tribe.

1 point for each tribe member for each person recruited for your tribe.

Losing weight between now and leaving Africa

1 point for each pound lost.

Here is where each of us ranks in EarthWalk Foot Miles right now. These are miles either walked, jogged or run:
